Key highlights
Although the threats to global growth are significant at present, New Zealand’s agricultural sector is enjoying some of the best conditions for many years.
It is very encouraging that the favourable conditions this year have been more broad-based than in 2008.
However, we do not anticipate NZ agricultural commodities to enjoy a dream scenario where the NZD drops at a time when global agricultural commodity prices remain high.
